The Jerusalem and Athens podcast exists to make a case for the Christian faith through revelation and reason.

Ibby Rios is a classical Christian educator and has been in the educational field since 1999. He became interested in Christian apologetics when he read C.S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity; it was here that he understood that a Christian could make a case for the Christian faith through sound reasoning and persuasion.

Ibby also believes it is the Christ-follower's responsibility to give a defense for what he believes – through reasoning and persuasion, and with gentleness and respect; confer Acts 17:2, 4, 5, 17; Acts 18:4,19; Acts 19:26; Acts 21:14; 1 Peter 3:15; etc. Though the believer makes a case for Christ, only the Holy Spirit can do the work and save the soul.

Ibby is a graduate of the University of Valley Forge (B.S., Elementary Education), Temple University (M.Ed., Education Administration), and Loyola University of Maryland (M.Ed., Instructional Technology). He is married to his wife Bethany and has five children (Viviana, Sebastian, Benjamin, Leanora, and Madeline). Ibby enjoys traveling, writing, visiting family and friends, the outdoors, languages, and reading.
